Narxoz University is one of the leading private, non-profit universities in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, located in Almaty. Founded in 1963 as the Almaty Institute of National Economy, the university was renamed Narxoz University in 2016 and has since undergone significant modernization. The university offers education in three languages — English, Kazakh, and Russian — at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels, specializing in economics, business, finance, law, digital technologies, social sciences, and public administration. Narxoz holds FIBAA (European) institutional accreditation as well as ACCA, CIM, and CIMA professional accreditations. In 2023, the university was awarded 4 QS Stars overall and 5 QS Stars for teaching quality, employability, and inclusiveness. It is ranked #1001–1200 in the QS World University Rankings 2026 and was named Kazakhstan’s top private university by the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking in 2022. The university is guided by a Business Advisory Council of leading national and international employers and offers double-degree programs with Queen’s University Belfast (UK), La Rochelle School of Business (France), Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania), and Illinois Institute of Technology (USA).
