Kenzhegali Sagadiyev University of International Business (UIB) is a leading private business university in Central Asia, founded in 1992 as the Republican School of Business and granted full university status in 2001. Named after academician Kenzhegali Sagadiyev — Kazakhstan's first Minister of Higher Education and former president of the National Academy of Sciences — UIB ranks among the 60 leading universities of Kazakhstan and is consistently ranked the best private business university in the country by the Independent Agency of Accreditation and Rating of Kazakhstan. UIB holds national accreditations from IQAA, IAAR, and KazSEE, plus international accreditations from FIBAA (Germany), AQA (Austria), and ACCA (UK). The university enrolls more than 3,000 full-time students with 70%+ practitioner faculty, 450+ business partners, and an 82.7% employment rate among graduates. UIB has expanded beyond business to include programs in IT, international relations, law, journalism, and — through its International Medical School (IMS) opened in 2022 — English-medium medical education.
