Kazakh-German University

The Kazakh-German University (DKU) is an international university located in Almaty, Kazakhstan, established under a bilateral intergovernmental agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Federal Republic of Germany. Founded over 25 years ago, DKU operates on the principles of German university autonomy and the Humboldt tradition, combining education, research, and societal engagement in a unique bi-national academic environment. DKU consistently ranks among the Top 5 universities in Kazakhstan according to the trade chamber ATAMEKEN, and offers internationally accredited programs in engineering, economics, and social sciences. The university maintains active partnerships with over 10 German partner universities and provides students with access to Double Diploma programs, enabling them to receive degrees recognized in both Kazakhstan and Germany.
