Educational grants funded by local executive bodies (MIO) are awarded through a competitive selection process based on regional workforce needs. The competition is organized by a commission established by the Akimat of the relevant region, city of republican significance, or the capital. Grants are awarded according to UNT or CT results and the applicant’s selected educational program group.

The program supports graduates of rural schools, students from socially vulnerable groups, children of deceased citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and children affected by the January 2022 events. The grant provides access to higher education as well as technical and vocational education programs.
