About M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University
Founded in 1932 as the Ural Pedagogical Institute, it was transformed into the West Kazakhstan University in 2000, and in 2003 it received its modern name in honor of the Kazakh poet and educator Makhambet Utemisov. The university includes 6 faculties: history, economics and law; culture and arts; philological; pedagogical; physical and mathematical; natural-geographical.
